The Advocate Group was built on real healthcare experience
The Advocate Group is an independent Medicare and insurance advisory practice in Springfield, Missouri, founded by Jason Avery. Jason has served patients and providers since 1993 and specialized in Medicare guidance since 2014. Together with his team — Jan, Krista, and Tricia — he serves clients across Missouri, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, Kansas, and Oklahoma with an education-first, non-sales approach.
But the credentials only tell part of the story. Founder Jason brings years of hands-on healthcare knowledge to every conversation. He understands how coverage decisions affect treatment access, medication affordability, provider choice, and long-term wellbeing.
That background changes everything.
Instead of simply explaining plan details, Jason translates complex insurance language into clear, confident decisions. He knows what questions matter. He knows where coverage gaps hide. And he knows how to align policies with real-life healthcare needs.

Since 1993, I’ve dedicated my career to serving physicians and the patients they care for—starting with conversations that helped bring greater understanding to treatment options and health outcomes. Today, that same passion drives my work helping individuals and families navigate Medicare and health insurance with clarity and confidence. What began as education has grown into true advocacy—guiding people toward affordable, responsible access to the care they deserve

Rooted in faith, grounded in family, and driven by a deep desire to serve others, I am building my career as a Medicare broker on the belief that everyone deserves to feel supported and informed when making healthcare decisions.
My mission is simple: to treat every client with the same care and respect I would offer my own family.

Tricia Coon
My passion for helping others began in 2003 in the healthcare field. I’ve since pursued work that keeps me present with my family and grounded in my faith. After a major medical event in 2024, I gained a deep appreciation for quality coverage and now help others navigate insurance through education, guidance, and advocacy.
